About Us

Before we went online,  Honors, Cavendish and Aces, our three sister clubs, were, and will be when this is over, Manhattan’s only non-membership bridge clubs. We were open to everyone. Online we are strictly a bridge club. As brick and mortar establishments, we offered not only bridge, but Mah Jongg, Canasta, Scrabble, Backgammon, and Euro-style board games.

Honors, on its own, was the largest bridge club in the country. This allowed us to offer a great variety of classes, practice sessions, social games, and novice through expert duplicates. This remains the case even though we moved to online bridge.

Honors online entry level course for people totally new to bridge, our ” Taste of Bridge”  five-session series, has probably been responsible for half the bridge played in the city, as well as,  half the bridge played in Florida in the winter, and out on Fire Island and the Hamptons in the summer.

Through Bridge Base Online (BBO) we offer six different duplicate games on varying skill levels most days, the first starting at 10:15 am.  There are also classes, both private and semi-private, multiple times a day using a combination of Zoom and one of two online bridge platforms.

I hope you enjoy your virtual stay with us.
